Fisheries management are protected from fishing on fish stocks scientifically sound way to find a sustainable use. Modern fisheries management are often described as a system by government (hopefully correct) management standards on specific objectives and the combination by fund management are based on implementing the plan, issued by the supervisory control and being seen.

Fisheries science are the discipline by portfolio management and understanding. Fish and fish products is consumed as food all over the world. With other seafoods, them provides the world's prime source by high-quality protein: 14–16 percent by the animal protein consumed worldwide. Over one billion people rely on fish as their primary source by animal protein.[13][14]

Fish and other aquatic organisms is too processed into various food and non-food products, such as sharkskin leather, pigments made from the inky secretions by cuttlefish, isinglass used since the clarification by wine and beer, fish emulsion used as a fertilizer, fish glue, fish oil and fish meal.
